The year 2020, everyone will remember when that awful Corona Virus took hold over the world. Everything closed down and you felt like a prisoner in your own home, being self-isolated. But that was the thing to do, no matter what! The only exceptions to go out was for food, medicine or exercise.
I sincerely hope that you all are well. How things have changed for us this year. Lots of us have missed the doll fairs and boot sales but auctions have still continued to go on-line. On a more pleasant note, there are lots of interesting articles to read in this issue to bring you moments of sunshine. I have always been fascinated in the Quakers and how it was founded. To find a doll which originally came from one of the Quaker families is very rare.(pages 4/5).
If you ever come across an Albert Marque doll, your dreams would come true -what a fortune! (page 10). Individual rooms, shops, market stalls and school room settings were quite popular around the 19th century. An example on pages 32 & 33.
Enjoy reading.
