Welcome to the 42nd Edition of the Doll Advertiser.
Hope you all had a good summer last year -it certainly was an exceptional year with the hot weather.
Lots of fabric dolls have been made by different companies. Collectors always appreciate fabric dolls in good original condition – but sadly, moths are attracted to these dolls, and many are usually found in a poor state.
The pair of Käthe Kruse dolls on the front cover are in a fantastic condition, just as though they had never left their box. It is remarkable how they have survived today.
Käthe Kruse made some lovely baby and character dolls as did the firm Lenci and Deans. These dolls always command a high price.
Deans company also produced some wonderful fabric dolls, and Betty Oxo from the 1920’s is a rare find, complete in her original box togther with the promotion for tins of Oxo cubes.
There are many interesting articles in this issue, hope you enjoy all of them.
