Lots of changes for me recently beginning with a new move (and never again!). Things are slowly getting back to normal now, after boxes and boxes of things stored in the garage, the car can finally have its normal place.
Not only the move, but I have decided to retire from organising the doll fairs after 25 years at Kensington Town Hall, London. But don’t worry the Doll Fairs will continue with the new organiser, Wendy Hobday.
The Doll Advertiser will still continue as normal.
Unusual dolls appear in this edition with a large wax doll (front cover) from Mo Harding’s private collection. It’s amazing how wax dolls survive today and in their original clothes. A very rare French doll with the blue seal mark from the collection of Constance King and a doll which was a lucky find from Colette Mansell.
If you have a story about a doll/s with a history, or a lucky find, please do send them in and perhaps it could be appearing in the next magazine. I would love to hear from you.
